                Our flock...

In 2009 I decided to make the switch from Suffolk sheep to Katahdin and Dorpers. Both breeds are "hair" sheep, they shed their wool which means no shearing! I found a nice little flock of two Katahdin and two Katahdin/Dorper ewes to replace my 'woolies'. I ended up with four beautiful Katahdin lambs as well. I am very happy with the change. No shearing, the lambs are huge, strong, and grow very fast, the ewes are excellent mothers, and they are all a good manageable size. So happy in fact, that I now have a predominately Katahdin x Dorper flock of 4-7 ewes, their lambs, and 2 young rams.

SORRY I HAVE NO 2011 MARKET LAMBS LEFT! Occasionally I do have an extra lamb available. Please contact me if you would like to be added to my list. Our lambs are hay/grass fed, naturally raised with lots of personal attention (happy sheep!) -no chemicals, growth hormone, or other nasty stuff that is so common in our food these days. I am pleased to promote healthy, happy, locally raised food!
