We now have the cutest little Dexter cow! Her name is Darra and she is just waist high. Darra was born May 2009 and she had her first calf (a bull named Moose) March 26 2011. She will provide us with fresh milk and beef calves for many years ahead. We are planning on keeping every other calf for ourselves and selling each alternate calf. I am hoping Neil will build us a milking platform as Darra is so close to the ground - might get a little rough on the ol back.
